The IGB database provides detailed information about genetic resources stored in the gene bank. It includes tools for data search and a platform for requesting seeds from IGB's collections.
Requesting seeds from the IGB database requires registration and signing a Material Transfer Agreement ()/ a Standard MTA (sMTA), or both—depending on the requested material. A handling fee of 40 NIS per sample applies, plus an additional 60 NIS handling fee for the entire order. An invoice will be sent separately after final approval of the request. Please note that final approval is subject to review by a Gene Bank representative and depends on current inventory availability.
To order a taxon designated as a "protected nature value" under Israeli law, you must complete a permit request form during the reservation process. A Gene Bank representative will contact you at the email address you provided during registration regarding this matter. Israeli citizens are required to submit the request themselves.
